Fabric! Fabric! Fabric!

Here at Felicity Fabrics we are fabric mad (in case you hadn’t guessed!) and with this hot weather I am swooning over lightweight summer dresses! I have gone through some of our amazing fabrics and indie patterns and pulled out some of my favourites for Summer.

When I see yellow, I instantly think of Summer. So what better fabric to start with than ‘Bella‘, our lightweight yellow cotton! Known as the ultimate Summer dress, Sew Over It’s ‘Rosie‘ is at the top of our sewing list for this fabric. “Fun, flirty and girly, she’s 1950s inspired with a fitted bodice and full skirt”.

I’m loving this lightweight cotton chambray and it’s perfect for these hot summer days! I’m seeing Tilly and the Buttons ‘Stevie‘ all over social media at the moment and I’ve got to have one! (or two, or three).

Another current favourite is our dressmaking cotton lawn and it’s the ‘Feather Haven’ by Lady McElroy. This is one of my favourite colours and I just love the print on this fabric, It would make a dreamy Sew Over It ‘Penny dress‘. “Stylish, wearable and flattering for so many shapes, Penny is a summer wardrobe must-have”.
