Jayne’s Eve Pants!
The Eve Pants in Embossed Corduroy.
When I asked for my next blog fabric I completely forgot that I had already worked with this amazing soft embossed corduroy on my previous blog post! If you remember I made the Wide Leg Pants using that lovely corn shade. I love them trousers so much!
So,when this delicious shade arrived in the post I realised that
a) my memory is rubbish
and
b) how gorgeous was this fabric to work with again!
The Eve Pants
I already had a pattern in mind with this fabric, the Eve Pants by Merchant & Mills.

I have made at least 2 pairs previously in a linen blend and love the style and the fit. With autumn and winter looming I knew that I needed a pair made in this fabulous embossedcordand the colour was just perfect. It is called Chocco and the perfect autumnal colour.

Layer and Rotate
I love to layer and rotate my outfits as much as possible, creating different looks and styles and getting the most from my wardrobe. I literally wear everything I’ve made and love to ‘shop’ my wardrobe to see what new outfit inspiration I can come up with.

Stylish Turnup Hems
The Eve Pants has two hem options, with or without turnups. I love the detail on the turnups every time I make them. They also have a cute side seam zip and waistband.
The corduroy is a perfect fabric choice as its not too thick, it’s a 21-whalecord and the embossed paisley detail just makes it extra special. It is unbelievably soft and so lovely to sew with too. It is recommended to iron the fabric on the reverse. The composition is 85% polyethylene, 12% nylon and 3% spandex giving that little bit of stretch and comfort.
For my outfit I chose a broderie anglaise self-draftedblouse and a cable knit oversized vest paired with my chunky boots. I tried it with and without a brown leather belt to create different looks.
Outfit Inspiration
For my second outfit I added a cropped argyle style knitted vest in peachy coloursand love this outfit too!

Simply by choosing the correct fabric and colour you can create so many different looks.
Dress Up or Down
I just love the styleand the shape of these pants making them ideal for a casual daytime outfit or adding some heels and bling for an evening out. If you love corduroy then this is the perfect choice for your next project!
Thanks for reading and happy sewing!
