Rosy’s skittles coco top!
To plagiarise the words of AA Milne, the author of the Winnie the Pooh stories…
“Nobody can be uncheered with a rainbow top”!!! (Original quote is “Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon”)

I just love rainbow stripes! They always make me smile and cheer me up, so I couldn’t resist this fabulous cotton jersey called Skittles. My go to jersey top pattern is the Jennifer Lauren Gable top, but this time I decided to make the Tilly and the Buttons Coco top, as I wanted to be able to wear it untucked with my jeans and I like the tunic style of this pattern. It looks nice with jeans but I’m looking forward to wearing it with my pinafore dresses too.

Can you spot my stupid mistake? It’s not super obvious, but I accidentally cut the front piece slightly off centre, so the stripes go down on one side. It’s not the end of the world, but I was stumped when I came to hem it and I couldn’t sew my hem line by following one stripe! It was only then that I realised. Ah well, it’s a good lesson in lining up my stripes before cutting out. I shan’t forget to do it next time, that’s for sure!!
